ATLANTIC CITY — Revel Entertainment Group has signed contracts with three unions for operations and maintenance once its mega-casino opens next year in Atlantic City.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the casino signed pacts on Friday with the New Jersey Regional Council of Carpenters Local 623; the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 68, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 711.

Last month, the half-finished casino secured the remaining $1.15 billion it will take to complete the project, which is scheduled for a mid-2012 opening.

Revel is expected to create 2,000 construction jobs and about 5,500 permanent jobs once the facility is open.
