The website of the world's largest gambling company appears to have been hacked sometime just after noon, leaving anyone visiting the site and apparently even downloading their casino comps, see a scrolling list of personal information that includes employee social security numbers, emails and job titles.
It is unclear who compromised the website, but company CEO Sheldon Adelson has been an outspoken political player who last fall advocated a nuclear strike into the Iranian desert. The billionaire casino magnate has been a longtime supporter of Israel and remains a key political player in his native country.
Las Vegas Sands is the owner of the Sands Bethlehem, whose casino, hotel and shopping mall attracts more than 8 million people to Bethlehem each year.
Sands officials in Bethlehem and Las Vegas did not have immediate comment on the apparent website hacking.
The website which featured a title "Damn A, don't let your tongue cut your throat. Encouraging the use of weapons of mass destruction, under any conditions, is a crime."
The short statement appears to be signed by the Anti WMD team.
The website appeared to be taken down at about 12:45 p.m., just minutes after it was hacked.
