Isleta Resort & Casino is hosting a Pueblo Market that will feature artists, dancers and more

The end of November has arrived but some local casinos are making the most of the month’s final days with fun events and giveaways.

Isleta Resort & Casino is celebrating its second annual Pueblo Market from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29. The event will feature more than 180 artists showcasing their traditional wares. Dance groups from Zuni, Hopi and Acoma pueblos also will be part of the event. The Acoma Rain Dancers, the Pueblo of Pojoaque Youth Hoop Dancers, the Hopi Hooyapi Dancers and the Cellicion Zuni Dancers will perform throughout the day.

This event has it all, including food and music. The Chicken Scratch Band of Arizona, as well as The Sneezy Boys from San Carlos Apache, Ariz., will keep eventgoers entertained.

Children’s book author Emmett Shkeme Garcia will be signing copies of his books, “Coyote and the Sky: How the Sun, Moon and Stars Began” and “Sister Rabbit’s Tricks.”

On Sunday, Nov. 30, don’t miss the “Big Pig Smash!” promotion at Isleta Resort & Casino. Eagle Players Club members will be selected for a chance to win up to $5,000 in cash. One lucky Eagle Players Club member will be chosen every hour between 2 and 8 p.m. to smash a “Big Pig” and win $500 in free slot play or up to $5,000 in cash.

Also, on Saturday and Sunday, compete in the “Prospector’s Plunge” slot tournament in the Isleta Power Alley. Tournaments run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 2-6 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. each day. Eagle Players Club members will be eligible to participate in an automatic slot tournament for every 100 points they earn. The top 10 winners will win free slot play after each tournament.

ROUTE 66 CASINO HOTEL: Take advantage of today’s “Flashback Friday” deals at Route 66. Every guest can participate in the “Flashback Friday” slot tournament for $10 and will receive a free buffet with a slot tournament entry. More than $4,000 in prizes has been up for grabs on Fridays this month.

Today’s tournament will take place from 1-4 p.m. Sign up to be part of the promotion at the Route 66 Players Club.

Table games at retro prices also will be part of today’s “Flashback Friday” fun. Enjoy $1 blackjack and craps, as well as 25-cent roulette from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. today.

The month will end on a high note with a Black Friday Special today for bingo players. Guests will receive a free 3-on-card, which will be paying out $300 to everyone purchasing a buy-in during the evening session. Sunday is time for the “Rags to Riches” drawing. The drawing will take place during the evening session and you must be present and playing bingo to win.

SANDIA RESORT & CASINO: It’s all about bingo during Sandia’s “Planet Bingo’s Pick-a-Prize-a-Thon” being held during the matinee and evening sessions tonight, Saturday and Sunday. Players will receive a drawing ticket with every buy-in today through Sunday. There will be two drawings during both matinee and evening sessions all three days for various prizes including TVs, Samsung Galaxy tablets, cash and gift cards.

You also still have until Sunday to be part of the “$300,000 Growing Green” promotion. During the month of November, there will be a total of 1,200 winners receiving their share of $300,000 in cash and free play. Hot-seat cash drawings will be held every half-hour from noon to 9:30 p.m. today through Sunday.
