Woman says casino hotel room burglarized, BMW stolen

TULALIP, Wa. —

Jennifer Decker says she left her purse inside her hotel room at the Tulalip Resort and Casino to join friends for dinner on Saturday.

When she returned, her purse was gone.

Also stolen, she says: thousands of dollars in valuables, including jewelry and the valet ticket inside her purse, and her car.

"And it was supposed to be a really great, wonderful experience. It turned into a huge nightmare,” said Decker.

But the casino claims she left the door slightly open and somebody got in.
Decker says there’s no way she left the door open when she left.

As for her BMW, it was gone from the valet lot.

Decker posted to Facebook to be on the lookout for the car, but Arlington police recovered it outside the Best Western Sunday.

Decker also claimed a Tulalip officer who spoke to her mentioned thefts have happened multiple times recently.

Ken Kettler, president of Tulalip Resort and Casino, said that’s not true.

Decker thinks it’s an inside job – which Kettler denied.

Kettler says his staff investigated, and they believe she left her hotel door ajar.

"I just feel violated and mistreated and I don't wanna go back ever again,” said Decker.

Kettler says the casino doesn’t have any usable surveillance from the valet lot.
