MAYETTA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Officials with Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation have confirmed a body was found at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort.
A tip from a 13 NEWS viewer Wednesday morning said the body was found at the casino's hotel and several members from the Tribal Police Dept. had responded.
Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation officials confirmed a woman was found early Wednesday morning having trouble breathing and unresponsive and was taken to a Topeka hospital.
A written news release Wednesday afternoon did not state her condition but a tribal official at the scene told us a person did pass away.
The investigation is ongoing.
