COOS BAY — Three Rivers Casino Resort will host the grand opening of Three Rivers Casino Coos Bay on Thursday, May 7. The new casino is located at 1297 Ocean Blvd. NW in Coos Bay.

A tribal event will begin at noon, and it will feature tribal members of the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians, along with local business leaders, Three Rivers Players Club members, and numerous other guests. The event will run until approximately 1 p.m., at which time the casino will be open to the public.

The casino will feature more than 250 brand new games and a full service on-site restaurant, Café 1297. Bob Garcia will oversee all operations of the facility and provide all coordination between it and the existing Three Rivers Casino Resort in Florence. 

Three Rivers projects the new Coos Bay casino will provide more than 90 jobs. These positions will include bartenders, cage cashiers, security personnel, slot technicians and others. 

“Our investment in this facility reflects the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians’ long-term commitment to the local southern Oregon coast community," said Garcia in an announcement of the opening event. "We believe in this community and we want to build and maintain a positive partnership with everyone here.”
