MotorCity Casino Hotel has named its interim president Bruce Dall as its new president.

Dall, 53, was named interim president in February pending Michigan Gaming Control Board approval of Jenny Holaday, senior vice president of operations, as its new president.

The casino elected not to renew the contract of former president Gregg Solomon for undisclosed reasons.

MotorCity, however, subsequently withdrew its application to qualify Holaday as a key employee of the casino, said Dave Murley, deputy director, legal affairs and gaming regulation for the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

"As a result of circumstances, (Holaday) elected to resign to pursue other opportunities," said Jacci Woods, vice president of public relations and community affairs for MotorCity, declining further comment.

As CFO of MotorCity, Dall, who also served as senior vice president of finance and administration, was already qualified as a key person for the casino, Murley said.

Dall has more than 28 years of experience in the casino industry. Prior to joining MotorCity Casino Hotel, he was assistant general manager and CFO for Greektown Casino-Hotel for seven years. He also served as CFO and treasurer for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, controller of the former Desert Inn casino hotel in Las Vegas and director of internal audit for the former casino operator Caesars World.

In addition to its gaming floor, the MotorCity Casino Hotel complex, which is owned by Marian Ilitch, includes the entertainment venue Sound Board, 400 hotel rooms, 67,000 square feet of banquet/meeting space, fine dining restaurant Iridescence, Little Caesars, the Assembly Line Buffet and the Grand River Deli & Burgers.

As reported   this week, MotorCity's revenue fell 2 percent to $39 million in May from the same month last year, according to figures reported to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Last month, it had a 33-percent share of the Detroit gaming market.
