Two Arrested in Shooting Death of Former Army Ranger Outside Miami Casino

Police say they have arrested two men for their alleged connection to the shooting death of a former Army Ranger Christmas night outside a South Florida casino.

Family members of Fernando Duarte said the 33-year-old walked out after winning a prize from a slot machine when he was shot. Duarte was rushed to Kendall Regional Hospital where he later died.

Officials later charged 25-year-old Kenin Bailey and 25-year-old Mikey Lenard in the case. According to their report, police say Bailey allegedly shot Durate while driving past him, hitting the victim one in the leg and once in the wrist. Lenard was driving the vehicle as it followed Durate in the parking lot.

Both men are charged with first degree murder in the case and currently being held on no bond.
