The Buffet at Valley View Casino & Hotel has a new look and new food.

The Valley Center resort has upgraded its buffet as part of a larger $50 million expansion project that began in April of 2018 and will wrap up in July, according to a press release. It’s one of many Southern California casinos expanding, including Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, San Manuel Casino and Cahuilla Casino. The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians opened its new Soboba Casino Resort to the public last week.

The Buffet at Valley View added 100 seats, for a total of 600, and installed new furniture and carpeting.

There are also changes on the buffet line. Among the offerings will be new soup, salad, bread, entree and dessert options, but guests will still find old favorites, including Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab, jumbo shrimp, prime rib and sushi.

The change to the buffet is one of several expected for Valley View. The expansion, announced by the resort in 2017, will add more than 42,000 square feet of space, including additional gaming space; a brewpub-type restaurant with burgers and beer; a slots tournament area and a promotion area. The casino also plans to add a new entrance adjacent to one of its parking garages for easier access.
