There’s a lot to dislike about 2020, but one of the really crummy things has been that live entertainment has been put on pause.

Southern California’s casinos are high-profile venues that have attracted some of today’s biggest pop stars, including J Balvin and Pitbull as well as classic rock icons and crooners. But the music stopped at most casino venues around the same time it stopped everywhere else when the pandemic took hold.

So when does it come back? When can we cheer for our favorite bands and artists as they hop on stage and play that song that we’ve listened to on Spotify a hundred times over?

Beyond Southern California… 

Las Vegas saw the opening of its first built-from-the-ground-up casino since 1980. The 1.25 million-square-foot Circa opened on Fremont Street early Wednesday and a huge crowd lined up to get inside. The Las Vegas Review-Journal has more.
