Say hello to the Coachella Valley’s newest casino: Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City.

The new casino, the third property from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, had a bit of a surprise opening. It announced that the doors were open via its social media accounts Tuesday night.

People have already begun visiting and photos of the new property’s restaurants, bars and gaming floor made their way onto Instagram. Performers dressed in elaborate costumes appear to have been at the casino opening night.

Now, let’s head north on the 15 Freeway.

Las Vegas was hit hard by the novel coronavirus pandemic and as long as the pandemic is around, things will never be completely back to normal there, but the good news is there have been some signs of life.

America’s top gambling market has seen return of some entertainment and the opening of a new casino even as the pandemic is still a reality.
