Wind River Hotel & Casino looks to tie more into its culture with updated brand identity

(Riverton, WY) – The Wind River Hotel & Casino announced today that they will immediately begin to use a new logo. The project to update the casino’s logo and branding was started in Fall of 2019 by CEO Brian VanEnkenvoort. VanEnkenvoort announced a logo contest, limiting entrants to enrolled members of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Guidelines for the contest explained that the new logo/brand should better represent the Northern Arapaho Tribe. The contest garnered over 40 entries.

Logo contest winner, Jason Oldman, explained the thought process behind his design:

Wind River Hotel & Casino Debuts New Look

“The sun is the circle in the Northern Arapaho flag. It represents our Sundance lodge. The red represents all the living Arapaho. The black represents all those Arapaho that have left this world our ancestors. The white in the middle represents the pole in our lodge and the Creator because he should be the center of our lives. The mountains are the Wind River mountains. The water is the Wind River that goes through our reservation and gives life. The buffalo is what we depended on historically for everything to live.”

The public will immediately begin to see the new logo used by the casino, its media partners, and the Northern Arapaho Tribe.

Wind River Hotel & Casino will still maintain its “Play. Stay. Win.” tagline, using “New Look, Better Luck” as its new brand rollout campaign.
