Employees from both Rivers and Meadows Casinos were charged with theft in the last week.
State police charged a poker dealer from Rivers Casino with theft Wednesday, saying he periodically pocketed poker chips totaling $501 in value.
Police said Matthew Eisenberg, 25, took poker chips off the table and put them into his personal tip box during his shifts
The dealer would take either a $1 or $5 chip from the pot with his right hand and slide it into the pile of discarded cards. After the hand was over and the pot pushed to the winner, he would condense all of the cards to get ready for the next round. He then would tap the chip out from the cards into his left hand and then place it into his tips box.
Police say he did this on 108 separate occasions.
State police also accused a Meadows Casino employee of theft on Dec. 10.
Sean Savinell, 40, of Steubenville, Ohio, stole a $500 gaming chip while employed as a dealer, police said.
