A hearing officer says the Wynn Las Vegas casino-resort violated federal labor law when it fired a union leader last
The administrative law judge for the National Labor Relations Board said in a ruling filed this week that Wynn targeted dealer Ronda Larson because she was notably active in the Transportation Workers Union.
Larson was a longtime casino employee when she was fired in September 2009 after she helped organize for the union.
Wynn managers say Larson was terminated because she was rude and insubordinate. The company says it did not break any laws.
The ruling states Larson had not behaved inappropriately and that the casino was simply looking for an excuse to fire her.
The officer ordered the company to give her back her job.
