The Kansas Quarter Horse Association says a planned 10,000-square-foot equine center at the Mulvane casino would make Kansas a destination for large horse shows.
The Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board in December picked Peninsula to build and operate a $260 million state-owned casino. But questions remain about misdemeanor charges in Iowa against 2 of Peninsula's top officials who are accused of campaign finance misconduct.
